Ludowici clay tiles are made in New Lexington, Ohio. The Classic, Spanish and Williamsurg tile styles were also often used in the Cleveland area.
Many of the original tile styles can still be obtained or are in our tile inventory. When possible we make repairs with used tiles because they blend in with the existing tiles.
Concrete tiles were also often used on homes as well. These tiles had a weatherproof coating. In the picture to the right, some of the original green coating can be seen.
When the protective coating weathers away, the tiles absorb water, freeze, become brittle and then break.
