Apartment Building

Old cement tile roofing was becoming dangerous on this apartment buidling. With a difficult setup, Reader Roofing installed new shingles.

1

he concrete tiles on the mansard roof areas had to be removed and new asphalt shingles installed.

2

The brittle concrete tiles were beginning to be a danger to people walking on the sidewalk below.

3

The original green protective coating could still be seen on some of the tiles .

4

The tiles removed from the roof were very thin and weathered.

5

The courtyard was too narrow for a manlift. Three-stage ladders had to be used.

6

Two men worked from the ladders. A man on the flat roof supplied the shingles.

7

The cement tiles were stacked on the flat roof until they could be lowered to the ground.

8

Everyone was pleased that a manlift could be used across the front of the building.

9

After struggling with the ladders the remainder of the job was completed using the manlift.
